Gang Rape And Dacoity In Bengaluru, 3 Secured
The incident reportedly occurred after 9 pm at Gangondanahalli, under the jurisdiction of Madanayakanahalli police station, late Tuesday. Senior police officials reached the scene shortly after receiving a call from the woman.
Bengaluru: A woman was alleged raped by 3-persons at her house in Gangagondanahalli under Madanayakanahalli police station limits of Bengaluru city on Tuesday night in between 9.15 pm to 12.30 am. The victim belongs to West Bengal.
In connection with the rape and dacoity case, police secured 3 accused persons identified as Karthik, Glen and Suyog, all locals, while search is on to trace the two others involved in the crime under Madanayakanahalli police station limits.
At the house, two women and two male members stayed there. The gang members alleged to have threatened the family members before they gained entry into the house. While three persons entered the house, two others kept vigil outside.
On their entry, the 3 persons tied two male members of the house and took a woman (victim) to a room where they raped her one after the other. Prior to the alleged rape, the gang physically assaulted her and male members of the house were assaulted by 3-persons. Cricket bats were used to assault the family members.
Before they fled from the scene, they robbed two mobile phones and Rs 25,000 cash from the victim’s house.
The police were alerted about the incident at around 12.30 am and acting on the information, senior police officials rushed to the spot. 3 special teams have been constituted to nab the accused persons.
The victim has been hospitalized and police said the victim is out of danger. Two male members of the family who came under attack from the gang have been hospitalized for their injuries.
3 special teams have been formed to nab the absconding persons and Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police C.K. Baba told reporters two others involved in the rape and dacoity will be nabbed by the police soon.
Madanayakanahalli police registered a case and investigations are on.
