Bengaluru Tourist Trampled to Death by a Jumbo

Bengaluru:A tourist from Bengaluru to Madikeri was trampled by a wild elephant at Theralu, a village in Ponnampet taluk of Madikeri on Saturday evening. The homestay falls in the vicinity of forest borders.

The deceased identified as Muralikrishna, 40, stayed at a homestay along with his friends. Leaving his friends, he is said to taken a decision to explore the surroundings when he came across a wild elephant leading to his accidental death trampled by the elephant. Muralikrishna succumbed to injuries on the spot, said forest sources.
