Bengaluru: Cabinet Decides to Prepare and Sell Srivari-Type Laddus in MM Hills Soon

CM Siddaramaiah instructed officials concerned to initiate steps to check sale of liquor at the Hills and wanted officials to check entry of liquor to the Hills from outside

Bengaluru: The cabinet meeting on Thursday decided to prepare and sell laddus to devotees at Male Mahadeshwara Temple in M.M. Hills on the lines of Srivari Temple Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanams (TTD) of Andhra Pradesh.

The cabinet meet held at MM Hills in Chamarajanagar district took a decision to make the laddus more tastier adding more ghee of Nandini belonging to Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF). In coming days, laddus at MM Hills will weigh 100 grams each and it will cost Rs 35 for a piece.

Another decision at the meeting was to initiate steps to make MM Hills, a popular Hindu pilgrim centre and the place draws huge devotees from both within and outside Karnataka especially Tamil Nadu, liquor –free zone. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah instructed officials concerned to initiate steps to check sale of liquor at the Hills and wanted officials to check entry of liquor to the Hills from outside. The meeting decided to construct 66 houses for employees of MM Hills Authority at a cost of 13 crore.

The Chief Minister asked officials concerned to prepare a project report for the construction of a dining hall at the MM Hills wherein 4,000 persons could have lunch at a time. He directed officials to supply adequate drinking water, toilets, lodging and beautification at the hill shrine.

An international cricket stadium will be coming up near Mysuru city at Huyilalu village and the required land for the stadium will be allotted, a decision taken at the meeting while Rs 101 crore will be given for land acquisition to extend the runway in Mysuru airport.
