BBMP registered FIR against a resident for damage to property in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: A resident Jyothi of Rama Krishna Layout of Shettihalli sub-division ward in Dasarahalli zone under Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is booked under Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984 in Bagalagunte police station of Bengaluru city.
The action against Jyoti was initiated after Zonal Commissioner Satish came across illegal digging up the road in R.K. Layout on March 31st at around 9.30 am.
The Zonal Commissioner informed Basavaraj Kabade, the Chief Engineer of Dasarahalli Zone, through whatsapp message sharing pictures of the road digging without obtaining permission from the officials concerned of BBMP, stated a release here on Friday.
Acting on the message, Basavaraj Kabade, conducted spot inspection of the site and noticed Jyoti, owner of property number 37 at R.K.Layout had illegally damaged the public property.
Thereafter, Assistant Executive, Shettihalli Sub-division filed a police complaint and a First Information Report was registered against Jyoti.
