Attempt to Murder Charge Against Wing Commander Registered in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: A food delivery youth Vikas Kumar (26) who came under assault allegedly from Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose (35) in Nagavarapalya Main Road of Bengaluru city on Monday early morning registered a First Information Report (FIR) at Byappanahalli police station against the Wing Commander accusing him of strangulation with an intention to murder him.

In the complaint to the police, Vikas Kumar, a resident of Babusapalya in Bengaluru city stated he was on his way to hand over a two-wheeler to his friend when he encountered a car (HR 51 BA 8568) and the car driver picked up an argument over minor vehicle related issue.

The complainant said the car driver (Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose) pushed him and threatened him stating “Not to play with him.” In the FIR, Vikas Kumar alleged Bose started an assault on him and tried to strangulate him with an intention of murder and sought police to initiate suitable action against the Wing Commander.

Based on the FIR, police have registered cases under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 under sections-109, 115 (2), 304, 324, 351 and 352. Meanwhile, Air Force officials visited Byappanahalli police station to gather details on the FIR registered against its Wing Commander.

President of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (a pro-Kannada organization) Narayan Gowda assured to stand by victim Vikas Kumar and extended fullest support to him.
