After Firing Clip, Janardhana Reddy Flags ‘Suspicious Cremation’ In Rajashekhar Case

Ballari: Gangavathi MLA Gali Janardhana Reddy on Friday released yet another video- this time linked to the funeral of Congress worker Rajashekhar Reddy.

Two days ago he had released a video alleging the link between the gunman firing and Rajashekhar’s death.

On Friday he displayed a video and alleged that there was a deliberate attempt to suppress evidence in the case relating to Rajashekhar’s death.

Addressing the media, Janardhana Reddy claimed that the video revealed suspicious circumstances surrounding the cremation of the deceased and demanded that the state government take the matter seriously and immediately arrest Ballari City MLA Bharath Reddy and his associates.

Explaining the contents of the video, he alleged that a youth named Somu, who works as a caretaker at the cremation ground, received a phone call from a person identified as Raghu, asking him to dig a pit to bury the body. Subsequently, Somu allegedly received another call instructing him to close the pit. When he questioned the instruction, he was allegedly told that the order had come from MLA.

Janardhana Reddy further alleged that friends of the deceased later approached Somu and said the body had to be cremated as per the directions of “elders.”

Janardhan Reddy also alleged that Rajashekhar Reddy’s body was not cremated using firewood but was instead cremated at an electric crematorium.

Janardhan Reddy demanded the case be handed over to the CBI. He also expressed unhappiness over Rajashekhar Reddy not being arrested yet.
