The minister also warned that if such incidents recur, the district administration and the police department will be held directly accountable.

Bidar: Forest, Environment and Ecology Minister and Bidar District In-charge Eshwar B. Khandre has directed the district administration and police department to act swiftly and firmly in response to complaints of attacks on Dalits in parts of the district.
The minister, in a press statement, said victims must be provided immediate protection and strict legal action should be taken against the perpetrators. Expressing deep anguish, he stated that such incidents are a blot on the principles of equality championed by Basavanna and the constitutional values upheld by Dr B.R. Ambedkar.
He instructed officials to take precautionary measures to prevent any social disharmony during public events or celebration of anniversaries. “No matter who is responsible, action must be firm and impartial. Innocent people must not suffer,” he asserted.
Condemning the incident at Khodawandpur, Khandre remarked, “Bidar is a garden of peace. Everyone must act with a sense of responsibility to preserve the harmony of this district. Efforts to communalize personal disputes must be curbed. Ignoring a spark can result in a blaze.”
The minister also warned that if such incidents recur, the district administration and the police department will be held directly accountable.
