40 Two-wheelers Gutted as Truck Catches Fire in Ballari

The truck was carrying 20 motorcycles meant for a showroom in Ballari city and about 20 for a showroom in Vijayapura. The driver is said to have parked the vehicle by the roadside near the Ballari city bypass late Sunday night and gone to sleep. Witnessing flames the local residents alerted the fire department.

While the fire tenders arrived, the motorcycles were already destroyed. The reason for the incident is yet to be ascertained.
