YSRCP Will Not Be Cowed Down By Cases: Chandrasekhar
Reddy accused the alliance government of misusing public funds and encouraging corruption in Nellore municipal corporation through contracts for garbage collection, sweeping etc

Nellore: YSRC Nellore city in-charge and MLC Parvatha Reddy Chandrasekhar Reddy said on Tuesday that the party would continue to raise public issues despite the threat of “politically motivated cases”.
Addressing the media, Reddy accused the alliance government of misusing public funds and encouraging corruption in Nellore municipal corporation through contracts for garbage collection, sweeping etc.
The MLC opposed the reported proposal to hand over 1.40 acres of the government irrigation canal land near Narayana Medical College to Narayana educational institutions. The proposal was being pursued through the municipal council. The YSRC would oppose any diversion of government land for private use, he said.
He also criticised notices being issued to poor families in Gandhi Girijana Colony, Venkateswarapuram, which threatened them with demolition of their houses. He alleged that government schools were being neglected and drinking-water systems were not functioning.
Referring to the Govinda Namalu song controversy, Chandrasekhar Reddy denied there was any insult to Hinduism or Hindu deities.
“I would apologise if anyone’s sentiments had been hurt. The filing of a case against me was part of a political conspiracy. I will not be intimidated by cases. We will continue to fight for the people,” he asserted.
