Jagan Accuses Ruling TD of Credit Chori in Land Resurvey
He criticized Naidu for not considering the program, noting the resurvey was triggered by farmers' grievances from his walkathon.

Vijayawada: YSRC president and former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday accused the ruling Telugu Desam Party of “credit chori” through claiming ownership of the comprehensive land resurvey actually undertaken by the YSRC regime.
Addressing media, Jagan Mohan Reddy underlined that the landmark land reforms, including Bhu Raksha and Bhu Hakku schemes, had been conceived after farmers flagged chronic land disputes during the padayatra he (Jagan) had undertaken as the leader of opposition. The former CM said he went on to include the land resurvey in the YSRC’s 2019 manifesto ahead of the assembly elections that the YSR Congress won.
The former chief minister recalled that the then YSRC government spent nearly Rs 6,000 crore and deployed around 40,000 staff to issue secure land titles using advanced technology—an exercise that drew appreciation from across the country.
Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that after coming to power, TD chief N Chandrababu Naidu merely recoloured Pattadar passbooks and reissued them without substantive changes, but has gone on to claim credit for the entire exercise.
Even the Rs 400 crore incentive from the centre, the former CM said, has been wrongfully appropriated. Yet, Jagan Mohan Reddy maintained the new passbooks have only compounded the farmers’ problems.
Referring to the Pinnelli village incident, the opposition leader alleged misuse of official machinery to target YSRC supporters, which had led to the death of a Dalit man in an attack.
Jagan Mohan Reddy maintained that legal options will be pursued to secure justice for the YSRC worker killed.
He went on to charge that rampant corruption is going on in the rule of the NDA coalition government. He reiterated that he will launch a mass outreach programme throughout the state to expose the Chandrababu Naidu-led government.
