YSRC says CM Naidu covering up his lies on Tirupati laddu

Former Minister Ambati Rambabu on Monday accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of spreading falsehoods and making arrests with ulterior motives in an attempt to cover up his lies on the Tirupati laddu issue.

Vijayawada: Former Minister Ambati Rambabu on Monday accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of spreading falsehoods and making arrests with ulterior motives in an attempt to cover up his lies on the Tirupati laddu issue.
Speaking to media here on Monday, Rambabu contested Chandrababu’s public statement that animal fat had been included in the ghee supplied to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for preparation of laddus.
The YSRC leader contended that there has been no contamination as alleged by the AP Chief Minister. He underlined that TTD accepts consignments of ghee only after random samples pass through quality control tests.
The former minister recalled that during 2014–19, the first term of TD government, tankers of ghee had been rejected on 15 occasions. But when Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had been the Chief Minister, ghee tankers had been rejected for 18 times, as they did not adhere to the quality specifications.
Rambabu commented that arrests being made on ghee adulteration are only a face saving exercise by Chandrababu to buttress his false claims of animal fat being used for making Tirupati laddus.
The YSRC leader lampooned Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan of making a big show of cleansing Tirumala temple on the pretext that a grave mistake had been committed at the temple.
The former minister referred to remarks of Mega Actor Chiranjeevi that Jana Sena is an off-shoot of Praja Rajyam. This indicates that there will be a merger of Jana Sena just as Praja Rajyam had merged his party with the Congress, Rambabu remarked.
