YSRC Questions Govt's Inflated 12.2% Growth Claim
He further claimed that farmers were in distress due to lack of MSP, crop insurance and input subsidies, with prices of paddy, mango, onion and banana crashing.

Vijayawada: The YSRC on Wednesday accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of presenting inflated economic figures to discredit the previous government, claiming that key indicators do not support the projected 12.2 per cent GSDP growth rate.
Former finance minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, addressing the media, said state revenues had grown by barely three per cent. “If growth is truly 12 per cent, why is it not reflected in revenues?” he asked, alleging manipulation of data.
He said that during the YSRC term, despite the Covid-19 crisis, borrowing stood at around 4.8 per cent of GSDP, while under the current coalition it was 4.45 per cent. Rajendranath alleged that loans amounting to Rs 2.66 lakh crore had been raised with no clarity on utilisation, and that the much-touted ‘Super Six’ promises remained unimplemented.
He further claimed that farmers were in distress due to lack of MSP, crop insurance and input subsidies, with prices of paddy, mango, onion and banana crashing.
