YSRC MP Files Private Complaint Naming DGP, Top Police Officials in Sai Krishna Custodial Death Case

Vijayawada:YSRC Tirupati MP Maddila Gurumoorthy has filed a private complaint before the II Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate Court in Vijayawada, seeking to array Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta, Vijayawada police commissioner S.V. Rajasekhar Babu and south zone ACP M. Manasa as accused in the alleged custodial death of Gade Sai Krishna at Krishnalanka police station.

According to the petition, the DGP has been named as Accused No. 1, the police commissioner as Accused No. 2 and the ACP as Accused No. 3 alleging criminal conspiracy against them to protect Krishnalanka circle inspector S.S.V.V. Naga Raju.
He alleged that though Gade Sai Krishna was apprehended at Markapuram by a task force to execute NBW in a case on May 6 and brought him to the Krishnalanka police station, the senior police officials failed to act on an e-mail sent to them by Sai Krishna’s mother Vijayalakshmi that the CI was harassing her son on May 28 and also misled the High Court that they were not knowing whereabouts of Sai Krishna and assured to deploy police teams to search for him on June 15 in reply to a Habeas Corpus petition filed by his mother.
