YSRC Holds Rally in Nellore, Seeks CBI Probe into Mega DSC

Govardhan Reddy alleged that irregularities and a paper leak had occurred in the Mega DSC and said the response from students and youth reflected the growing strength of the movement.

Nellore: Around 2,000 students, youth and YSRC activists took part in a protest rally in Nellore on Monday, demanding a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in the Mega DSC recruitment and the resignation of minister N. Lokesh.

The rally, led by YSRC Nellore City in-charge and MLC Parvatareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy, began at VRC Centre and culminated at Gandhi Bomma Centre. YSRC district president Kakani Govardhan Reddy, Nellore City coordinator Kondreddy Ranga Reddy, corporators and party leaders participated.

Govardhan Reddy alleged that irregularities and a paper leak had occurred in the Mega DSC and said the response from students and youth reflected the growing strength of the movement. He said the agitation would continue until a CBI inquiry was ordered.

Chandrasekhar Reddy said the party was not demanding cancellation of the DSC or withdrawal of teacher appointments, but a transparent investigation into the alleged irregularities. He insisted that Lokesh should step down to ensure an impartial probe, alleging that evidence could be tampered with if the minister remained in office.

He also questioned the government for booking cases against YSRC leaders protesting the issue while allegedly failing to act against those responsible for the irregularities. He warned that the issue would be raised again during the forthcoming Legislative Council sessions if the government failed to order a CBI probe.
