YSRC Demands Public Apology From CM, Pawan Over Ippatam Lands
Vijayawada: YSR Congress has demanded a public apology from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan for spreading misinformation regarding Ippatam lands and drug-laden containers at Visakhapatnam Port.
Speaking to media, former AP Trade Promotion Corporation chairman Kanumuri Ravichandra Reddy said the Supreme Court has dismissed the case over Ippatam lands and imposed a fine on petitioners, while CBI, after a thorough investigation, has denied that drugs had been found in the container at the Vizag port.
Ravichandra Reddy underlined that Pawan Kalyan had falsely gone to town claiming that farmers’ houses had been demolished in Ippatam village during widening of roads. He pointed out that Supreme Court recently dismissed the farmers’ claims as baseless and imposed a penalty of Rs 25,000 on each petitioner.
Likewise, the YSRC leader said Chandrababu Naidu had alleged that a drug-laden container had arrived in Visakhapatnam. He underlined that a thorough CBI investigation had found no evidence of drugs in the case.
Condemning both Naidu and Pawan Kalyan for making defamatory statements, Reddy accused them of tarnishing AP’s image and maligning YSRC leaders, including MP Vijayasai Reddy, for political gains.
