YSRC Attacks Naidu Over Alleged Campaign Against Jagan
YSRC leader Malladi Vishnu accused the coalition government of targeting Jagan and using caste and religious issues to divert attention from alleged governance failures.
The YSRC on Sunday accused the coalition government of making what it termed “baseless allegations” against its leadership and attempting to divide society along caste and religious lines.
Addressing the media here, former MLA Malladi Vishnu alleged that the campaign against YSRC leadership was aimed at diverting attention from the coalition government’s alleged failures. He also criticised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu over his past and present political positions.
Vishnu alleged that Naidu was making unfounded allegations against Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and his family over religious conversions. He also accused Naidu of showing scant respect for Sanatana Dharma, referring to incidents during his earlier tenure, including the demolition of temples during the Krishna Pushkarams and an incident involving the Anjaneya Swamy idol.
He also alleged that police had used force against Shiva devotees at Srisailam during Naidu’s tenure.
Vishnu alleged that the “friendly media” campaign was intended to divert public attention from the coalition government’s failure to implement its “Super Six” poll promises. He demanded that Naidu and Jana Sena chief K. Pawan Kalyan respond to the Supreme Court’s remarks in the Tirupati laddu issue instead of making personal attacks.
“The coalition should focus on development works rather than wasting time on false propaganda,” Vishnu said.
