YSRC Alleges Flaws In Nellore Ward Delimitation
Boundaries of several divisions had been redrawn without clarity, with some areas detached and merged with distant localities, creating confusion among residents: Chandrasekhar Reddy

NELLORE: YSRC Nellore City constituency in-charge and MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy on Sunday alleged that the ward delimitation process in Nellore city was carried out in a “haphazard and confusing manner” and demanded immediate corrections.
Along with division in-charges, corporators and YSRC leaders, the MLC met Nellore Municipal Corporation commissioner Y.O. Nandan and submitted written objections over the ongoing ward reorganisation process.
Speaking to the media later, Chandrasekhar Reddy alleged that boundaries of several divisions had been redrawn without clarity, with some areas detached and merged with distant localities, creating confusion among residents.
He accused the authorities of arbitrarily dividing wards and disturbing social unity among people.
The YSRC leader further alleged that the delimitation exercise was carried out under pressure from ruling party leaders and criticised Municipal Administration minister P. Narayana for allowing a flawed process despite heading the urban development portfolio.
He urged the Corporation to consider the objections raised by YSRC and make corrections in line with public opinion, warning that the party would approach the courts if changes were not implemented.
