YSRC Accuses Govt of Abusing Police in Palnadu Double Murder Case
Vidadala Rajini said, “Red Book governance has transformed the police into a political service. It is unjust to implicate the Pinnelli brothers in this TD internal conflict.”

Vijayawada: Former minister Vidadala Rajini, former MLA Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy and Sattenapalli YSRC in-charge Gajjala Sudhir Bhargav Reddy strongly condemned the political vendetta and police misuse orchestrated by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. They alleged that the government was fostering anarchy under the guise of "Red Book governance," which has weakened state institutions and turned the police department into a tool for political retribution.
On the double murder that took place at Gundlapadu in Macherla on May 24, where TD activists Javischetty Venkateswarlu and Koteswara Rao were killed, the YSRC leaders said that Palnadu SP Kanchi Srinivasa Rao confirmed that both victims and the offenders were TD activists, with the vehicle used in the crime linked to TD leader Julakanti Brahma Reddy. Despite this, they alleged, YSRC’s Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy and his brother Venkatarami Reddy were falsely named in the FIR.
Vidadala Rajini said, “Red Book governance has transformed the police into a political service. It is unjust to implicate the Pinnelli brothers in this TD internal conflict.” She warned that police overstepping under political pressure would face legal consequences and vowed YSRC would fight if the cases weren’t withdrawn.
Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy questioned, “When TD members committed the murders, how are the Pinnelli brothers involved? The FIR’s claim that the perpetrator acted at their behest is fabricated.” He noted TD’s pattern of targeting YSRC leaders like P. Nani and Kakani Govardhan Reddy with false cases.
Gajjala Sudhir Bhargav Reddy added, “The government files false cases to hide its failure to deliver its promises. Despite the SP and victims’ families confirming the TD’s role in the case, the Pinnelli brothers were wrongly named due to the pressure from the TDP MLA.” He affirmed YSRC’s legal fight and support for the Pinnelli brothers.
