YouTuber Raavan Has Links With Maoists?

YouTuber Bacchalakuri Joseph alias Prasna Raavan's bank account received huge amounts of funds from foreign countries. According to investigation, Raavan toured in Maoist-affected areas several times and he also has good relations with the Maoist sympathisers.

Police interrogated Raavan in connection with the case registered at Gannavaram station in Krishna district. They suspect that he supported flow of funds for Maoist ideology. Over Rs 29 lakh got deposited in Raavan's accounts from abroad, in phases. Among them, one person did the most transactions with Raavan.

When asked about that person, it is learnt that Raavan maintained silence. Raavan also received over Rs 25 lakh from YSRC leader Indrasena Naidu's account in phases. It was revealed that the funds were specifically pooled to make videos targeting important leaders in the coalition government. It was found that Raavan ran his YouTube channel from Indrasena's flat.

Police also identified that Raavan's channel aired many videos hailing the Maoist revolution and Maoist leaders. He also toured in Maoist dominated areas in AP, Telangana and Odisha. He also has contacts with several Maoist sympathisers. Police also found several fake accounts subscribed to his channel.
