YouTuber Prashna Ravan Arrested for the Fifth Time Under UAPA

On Saturday, Jana Sena leader and Director of the Road Development Corporation, Garikipati Siva Shankar, lodged a complaint against Ravan at the Gannavaram Police Station.

Vijayawada: Gannavaram Police arrested YouTuber Prashna Ravan for the fifth time after registering a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Police took Ravan into custody at the Vempadu Toll Plaza in Anakapalli district.

On Saturday, Jana Sena leader and Director of the Road Development Corporation, Garikipati Siva Shankar, lodged a complaint against Ravan at the Gannavaram Police Station.

Acting on the complaint, the police immediately registered an FIR against Ravan under the relevant provisions of law.

Ravan has been booked under Sections 147, 148, 152, 192, 197(1)(d), and 353(1)(b) of the BNS, and Sections 13 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).

Earlier, Prashna Ravan had approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court, requesting that all the cases filed against him at different police stations be treated as a single case.

The petitioner named the Andhra Pradesh Government, the Director General of Police (DGP), and the Superintendents of Police of Eluru, NTR and Kakinada districts, Station House Officers (SHOs) of Payakaraopeta, Pithapuram, Machilipatnam and Sarpavaram police stations as respondents.
