Yamini Slams Congress Over Remarks on Constitutional Institutions
She said if the Congress believed there were no lapses in the nomination papers, it should pursue the matter before the appropriate election authorities.

Vijayawada:Andhra Pradesh BJP leader Sadineni Yamini on Tuesday criticised the Congress party for allegedly targeting constitutional institutions and undermining their credibility.
Reacting to the Congress’s response to the rejection of the Rajya Sabha nomination papers of its senior leader Meenakshi Natarajan in Madhya Pradesh over alleged discrepancies, Yamini said scrutiny of nomination papers was conducted in accordance with election laws and not at the direction of any political party.
She said if the Congress believed there were no lapses in the nomination papers, it should pursue the matter before the appropriate election authorities.
Yamini objected to remarks made by Congress leaders describing the Election Commission as being influenced by the BJP. She said such comments amounted to casting aspersions on constitutional institutions.
The BJP leader maintained that constitutional bodies function within the framework of established laws and procedures and should not be subjected to political attacks over administrative decisions.
