Works for Godavari Pushkaralu to Be Done With Funds From Centre, State
The works include laying of roads, construction of drainages, ghats, supply potable water and development of parks, all of which would be taken up on a permanent basis.

Vijayawada:Minister for tourism and culture Kandula Durgesh has announced that the government would take up several works for the Godavari Pushkaralu-2027 on a permanent basis with funds from both the Central and state governments.
The minister took part in a meeting presided over by the municipal administration minister P Narayana at the secretariat on Monday. Durgesh said the works for the Godavari Pushkaralu held in 2015 were started just three months before the event. The works for the 2027 event would start much in advance based on the directions from the chief minister.
The works include laying of roads, construction of drainages, ghats, supply potable water and development of parks, all of which would be taken up on a permanent basis. Expectations are that some 10 crore devotees would attend the event.
“We would a meeting with irrigation, endowments and other stakeholder departments in Rajamahendravaram to finalise an action plan for the Pushkaralu,” he said.
