Women Urged to Leverage MSME Opportunities at RTIH Event

Addressing the participants, NTR District collector Lakshmisha highlighted the role of RTIH in fostering innovation and digital empowerment.

Vijayawada:More than 70 women entrepreneurs from the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector participated in an awareness and interaction programme, “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs” here on Wednesday.

The event was organised under the RTIH RiseUp MSME initiative at the regional technology innovation hub (RTIH), Enikepadu.RTIH Vijayawada collaborated with the NTR district administration and the district MSME department to promote entrepreneurship among women and improve access to digital tools, business opportunities and government support systems.

Addressing the participants, NTR District collector Lakshmisha highlighted the role of RTIH in fostering innovation and digital empowerment. He said the district was fortunate to have such a facility and urged entrepreneurs to make full use of its services and resources.

The collector encouraged women to emerge as successful entrepreneurs and contribute to the “One Family–One Entrepreneur” vision championed by chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. He said entrepreneurship could enhance household incomes and generate employment opportunities.

RTIH chief executive officer G. Krishnan conducted an awareness session on entrepreneurship development, e-commerce, Goods and Services Tax (GST), trademarks, branding and business expansion. Participants were briefed on support mechanisms available to MSMEs for scaling up their enterprises.

Several registrations and facilitation services were completed during the programme. These included six Udyam registrations, 16 Walmart Learning Management System registrations, two GST registrations, one startup registration, one trademark registration and one private limited company registration.

A one-to-one interaction session was held later to address the specific requirements and challenges faced by entrepreneurs. Representatives of the district women’s federation, Walmart, Walmart Vriddhi’s implementation partner organisation, intellectual property rights attorneys and RTIH programme associates participated in the session.

Rohit Mukherjee and Shantanu Srivastava from the New Delhi-based implementation partner organisation were also present.
