Woman Warden Carries Girl Student On Her Back To Hospital

District medical and health ifficer (DMHO) Dr Bhaskara Rao said the deputy DMHO Dr Padmavathi and others have visited the district hospital where the student was admitted and that she was recovering.

Visakhapatnam: A woman warden carried an ailing Adivasi girl student on her back to hospital, trekking the rocky forest path in G.L. Puram mandal of Parvathipuram Manyam district. Though the incident took place on June 30, it came to light on Thursday in a viral video.

According to reports, the 11-year-old student suffered stomach ache, vomiting and fever on June 30. Hemani, warden of GL Puram Girls Tribal Welfare School, visited the student’s home, as she had remained absent from the school.

When the warden found that the girl had been ill and had no means to reach a hospital, she carried the student on back and began trekking on rough terrain and through the deep forest. The girl’s parents joined Hemani in carrying the child. They reached the main road where the warden's car took them to the district headquarters hospital.

District medical and health ifficer (DMHO) Dr Bhaskara Rao said the deputy DMHO Dr Padmavathi and others have visited the district hospital where the student was admitted and that she was recovering.
