Woman Allegedly Bludgeons Husband To Death in Vizianagaram

VISAKHAPATNAM: A woman allegedly bludgeoned her husband to death with a stone and poured hot oil on him at Kandipeta in Garividi mandal of Vizianagaram district on Thursday morning. She later attempted suicide at their home, police said.
The deceased was identified as D. Srinu and the accused as D. Ramulamma. According to locals, Ramulamma, a native of Kandipeta, had been living separately after becoming estranged from her husband. She later got into a relationship with her relative Srinu, who was also separated from his wife. The two subsequently got married and had been living together.
An argument between the couple on Wednesday night was followed by a fight. On Thursday morning, Ramulamma allegedly attacked Srinu with a stone and poured hot oil on him. She later allegedly attempted suicide.
Villagers found Srinu dead in a pool of blood and Ramulamma unconscious. Police reached the scene after receiving information and shifted her to a hospital for treatment. Her condition was stated to be normal.
Garividi police registered a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 238 for allegedly concealing evidence against Ramulamma.
