‘Will Resign If System Fails’: BJP MLA

Stressing that public welfare outweighs positions, he said there is no point in holding office without serving people.

Kadapa:BJP MLA from Jammalamadugu, Adinarayana Reddy, has said he is ready to resign from his post if the system fails to function as expected.

Addressing party workers at the ‘Mana Ooru – Mana Jenda’ meeting on Monday, he said he had taken the decision nearly 100 days ago. “I will remain in the party, but won’t hesitate to resign as MLA if the system doesn’t work,” he asserted.

The four-time MLA and former minister said he was committed to ensuring proper execution of development works. He highlighted the sacrifices of families displaced by the Gandikota Reservoir, noting their contribution to water supply in Tadipatri, Yerraguntla and nearby areas.

He said he would continue to fight for justice to oustees, pointing to pending compensation, the Srisailam Right Canal, development works at Rajoli and jobs at RTPP.

Stressing that public welfare outweighs positions, he said there is no point in holding office without serving people.

Reddy has been in the news over recent controversies, including a clash with JC Prabhakar Reddy over ash disposal at a thermal plant in Muddanoor. His remarks have again triggered political debate.
