Wife, Lover Among Four Held for Security Guard’s Murder

The victim, Allada Nagaraju, a security guard, was murdered on November 29, 2025

VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam police have arrested four persons, including a woman and her alleged lover, in connection with the murder of a 40-year-old security guard whose body was found in bushes nearly six weeks after the crime.

The victim, Allada Nagaraju, a security guard, was murdered on November 29, 2025.

The accused have been identified as Allada Ramya (38), the victim’s wife; her alleged lover Vasantharao Sanjeevi; and two hired accomplices Kottapalli Balakrishna (35), a painter, and Pawan alias Pandu (30), a mechanic. All three men are residents of Kancharapalem.

According to North assistant commissioner of police S. Appalaraju, Ramya had initially reported that her husband was missing since December 9, even though he had gone missing much earlier.

Investigations revealed that Ramya allegedly conspired with Sanjeevi to eliminate her husband. The duo is said to have paid Balakrishna `50,000 to carry out the murder, who in turn roped in Pawan as an accomplice.

On November 29, the three men allegedly took Nagaraju to a lodge in UDA Colony under the guise of socialising. Police said the accused consumed alcohol together before suffocating him to death with a pillow.

After the murder, the body was dumped in roadside bushes near the Timmapuram forest area.

The case came to light on Wednesday morning when a decomposed body was found around 11 am in the Bavi Konda area under the jurisdiction of the PM Palem police station, leading to the arrests.
