Why Is YSRCP Hesitating Over Transparent Polls: TD Leaders
Addressing media on Wednesday, TD’s Kurnool parliament constituency president Palakurthi Thikkareddy charged that the YS family has a history of rigging, intimidating and preventing people from voting in Pulivendula.
Kurnool: The TD leaders criticised YSRC leaders for expressing discontent with the state government for conducting the polls in a democratic manner, particularly in view of the long-standing practice of rigging in Pulivendula.
Addressing media on Wednesday, TD’s Kurnool parliament constituency president Palakurthi Thikkareddy charged that the YS family has a history of rigging, intimidating and preventing people from voting in Pulivendula. He said now that the coalition government has succeeded in conducting a free and fair poll in Vontimitta and Pulivendula, YSRC leaders are upset and making all kinds of allegations.
Thikkareddy condemned YSRC leaders’ criticism of senior police officers, apart from threatening officials.
Others present at the media conference included KUDA chairman Somisetty Venkateswarlu, SC Finance Corporation chairman Akepogu Prabhakar, and State Viswabrahmin Corporation chairperson K. Parvatamma.
