West Godavari: Man Gets 10 Years' Jail for Sexual Assault
West Godavari superintendent of police Adnan Nayeem Asmi appreciated the police officers for taking up fool-proof investigations and securing the conviction of Ramesh Babu.
Kakinada: Eluru 5th Additional District and Sessions Court Judge M.V.V.S. Murali Krishna sentenced Mamidisetti Ramesh Babu (27) of Aratlakatta village in Palakollu Rural mandal in West Godavari district to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1,000 on Friday for illegally trespassing into the house of a 19-year-old woman and sexually assaulting her on June 18, 2022.
The then sub-inspector K. Srinivas registered a case and circle inspector K. Srinivasa Kumar swiftly initiated scientific investigation, collected evidence, filed a charge sheet and proved the charge in the court.
