CM Meets Tata Sons Chairman Chandrasekaran in Davos
CM's Davos visit successful in branding Andhra Pradesh globally

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu held a courtesy meeting with Tata Sons chairman N. Chandrasekaran in Davos on Thursday.
A wide range of issues relating to global industrial trends, investments, and the state’s development roadmap were discussed by the two, an official release said.
Chandrasekaran enquired about the chief minister’s Davos visit and the outcomes of his engagements this time. Naidu described Davos as a valuable global platform to understand emerging industrial trends and the evolving perspectives of leading industrialists worldwide. The CM said, “Such interactions help governments benchmark policies, read market sentiment and strategically position regions for future growth.”
Naidu observed that the Davos visit would significantly aid Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to brand itself globally and to gauge market responses to its new and progressive policies. Recalling the state’s previous participation, he said the discussions held during the 2025 Davos visit had already translated into investments worth `2.50 lakh crore reaching the ground level.
Over the last three days, he said, Andhra Pradesh’s achievements and opportunities across sectors such as green energy, technology, artificial intelligence, agriculture, and tourism were presented in multiple meetings. Compared to the past, global corporate interest in India has grown substantially, Naidu noted.
He attributed this to the country’s strong youth workforce, effective leadership and policy stability, which have together expanded opportunities for companies to establish and scale operations across sectors.
Chandrasekaran, in turn, shared insights from his interactions with global industry leaders and spoke about evolving global business thinking.
The two discussed the progress of the Tata Group initiatives in the state, including the TCS development centre in Visakhapatnam, the Quantum Valley project in Amaravati, and the solar power projects planned in Kurnool district.
They also reviewed programmes proposed under the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, with Chandrasekaran stating that Tata Trusts would depute dedicated officials to take these discussions forward. The CM urged faster implementation of Tata Group tourism projects in the state and sought investments for the proposed development of three sports cities in AP.
Responding positively, Chandrasekaran assured Naidu that all projects would be reviewed and that the Tata Group would extend its cooperation to ensure their timely completion.
