Weekly ‘Palle Veeekshana’ Launched in Nellore to Monitor Grassroots Delivery
Officials visited households, collected feedback from residents and issued on-the-spot directions to address grievances and gaps in implementation.

Nellore:Nellore district on Wednesday launched ‘Palle Veeekshana’, a weekly village outreach programme aimed at monitoring implementation of welfare and development schemes at the grassroots.
The initiative was rolled out in Nabbi Nagaram and Boyila Chiruvella villages of Atmakur mandal, where officials conducted field inspections of Rythu Seva Kendrams, village health clinics, Anganwadi centres, housing colonies and Mini Gokulam units. At MGNREGA worksites, teams interacted with labourers to review execution of employment programmes.

At the Rythu Seva Kendram, farmers said they received better-than-MSP prices for their first crop. Officials assured adequate irrigation for the second crop and said a district-level irrigation advisory meeting would be convened.
The visits also included distribution of cattle feed and seed kits, inspection of summer water troughs for livestock, and review of infrastructure works, including overhead tanks under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
At Anganwadi centres, officials reviewed children’s learning levels, nutrition and attendance.
Collector Himanshu Shukla said the programme would be conducted every week by selecting one village for comprehensive inspection to improve accountability and service delivery at the field level.
