Visakhapatnam: Family members and friends of J.C. Chandra Mouli, who had been killed in Pahalgam by terrorists on April 22, welcomed Operation Sindoor and the ongoing mock drills across the country.
Appanna and his wife Sashi Kumar, eyewitnesses in the point blank shooting of Chandra Mouli, told this correspondent on Wednesday that the central government should be appreciated for the steps it has been taking in the aftermath of the Pahalgam incident.
“But this should not lead to war. War will be expensive for us. Let the government crush terrorism from its roots,” Appanna said.
Chandra Mouli’s family members remained stoic, not responding to any calls. They did not allow outsiders to enter their premises.
“They are still in deep shock. Mouli’s two daughters have come from the US to Vizag to console her mother,” Appanna pointed out.
