VSU Orders Special Revaluation for LL.B. Students

Vikrama Simhapuri University has ordered a special revaluation for three-year LL.B. students after concerns were raised over examination results.

Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) has announced a special revaluation for students of the three-year LL.B. programme following concerns over the recently declared examination results.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Allam Srinivasa Rao said answer scripts of students who had already applied for revaluation would be assessed again by two independent evaluators before the final results are announced.

The decision comes after a large number of students failed the examinations, prompting 172 students to seek revaluation. However, only 16 students cleared the examinations after the first revaluation, leading to widespread concerns over the evaluation process.

Responding to the students' representations, the Vice-Chancellor said the answer scripts would undergo a third and fourth evaluation by independent examiners. The average of the marks awarded by the two evaluators would be taken as the final score.

Prof. Allam Srinivasa Rao assured that the special revaluation would be conducted in a fair and transparent manner and the revised results would be announced within a week. He clarified that no additional fee would be charged and that the facility would be available only to students who had already applied for revaluation. No fresh applications would be accepted.

Reiterating the university's commitment to protecting students' interests, the Vice-Chancellor said every effort was being made to ensure a transparent, impartial and credible revaluation process.
