Visakhapatnam: Jindal Stainless Limited's plant in Appannapalem, Vizianagaram district, has once again suspended operations, triggering strong opposition from its workforce.
Management attributed the shutdown to a shortage of raw materials and logistical challenges. This marks the second such disruption in about a year, though a more severe crisis had kept the plant closed for nearly a year during 2020-21. Employees, representing roughly 500 families who rely directly or indirectly on the factory, are deeply concerned about the potential job losses and the devastating impact on their livelihoods due to this sudden closure.
