Vizianagaram Teacher Fulfills Promise, Takes Top Students on Flight

Joint Collector Sethu Madhavan, Deputy Education Officer Appa Rao, and the schools’ principals felicitated the students for their achievement.

Visakhapatnam: A Telugu teacher from Gopannavalasa High School in Merakamudidam mandal, Vizianagaram district, Maradana Satya Rao, kept his promise to reward academic excellence. He pledged to take students who topped the mandal-level 10th class exams on a plane ride. Following the results announced on April 23, S. Vivek (593 marks) from Garbham High School and T. Revanth (591 marks) from Bhairipuram High School emerged as top scorers. With approval from education department officials, the students traveled by train to Vijayawada on Sunday.

On Monday, they flew from Gannavaram airport to Visakhapatnam, arriving at 8:45 AM, and then returned to Vizianagaram by road. Joint Collector Sethu Madhavan, Deputy Education Officer Appa Rao, and the schools’ principals felicitated the students for their achievement.
