Vizag UKG Student Case: Committee Formed To Probe Incident
TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao said strict action would follow the inquiry report into the alleged death of the kindergarten student in Visakhapatnam.

Visakhapatnam: TDP state president Palla Srinivasa Rao on Thursday termed the alleged death of a five-year-old UKG student after being slapped by a teacher at a private school in Visakhapatnam as “unfortunate” and said that Education Minister Nara Lokesh had already formed a committee to inquire into the incident.
“Based on the committee report, strict action will be taken. If anyone is found guilty, the culprits will not be spared,” Palla said. He said the Education Minister would visit Visakhapatnam on Friday and discuss the matter further.
Palla offered condolences to the child’s family and assured that the government would extend necessary support to the parents.
He also advised schools to give greater attention to students’ health and safety. “At times, a small incident can lead to a major problem. Schools should conduct holistic health check-ups, especially for young children. This should be made mandatory,” he said. Palla added that the government would bring reforms in school education and review procedures being followed in private schools to prevent such incidents.
