Vizag Steel Plant Tragedy: 3 Victims Identified, Bodies Handed Over to Kin

Hyderabad: The district administration in Visakhapatnam has identified the bodies of three persons as Bhanukumar, Ramana and Appalaraju. The officials handed over the bodies to the family members.

Officials said that eight bodies have arrived at the KGH morgue after the accident that took place at the Visakha Steel Plant. As the bodies were unrecognizable, officials conducted DNA tests and samples were sent to the lab in Vijayawada lab.

They said that so far the bodies of Bhanukumar, Ramana and Appalaraju have been identified. Vehicles have also been prepared to transport the bodies to their native places.

Eight persons died and half a dozen were seriously injured due to a leak of steel liquid at the steel plant. It is reported that the condition of two of them is critical.
