Vizag: 7 Fishermen Safe After Boat Capsizes Near Harbour
According to reports, the boat lost control amid high waves and overturned near the harbour.

Visakhapatnam: Seven fishermen had a narrow escape after their fishing boat capsized due to rough seas near Visakhapatnam Harbour in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday morning.
As per reports, the fishermen who went out in the early morning to catch fish despite high tides, lost control of their boat amid high waves, and it overturned close to the harbour. The fishermen on board were trapped among the rocks in the sea. They survived by clinging to the capsized boat and rocks until help arrived. Two of the fishermen, Thatha Rao and Akash, suffered severe injuries and were shifted to King George Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. The remaining five are reported to be safe with minor injuries.
The accident also resulted in damage where both the boat and the fishing nets were destroyed, and the estimated loss is said to be around Rs 4.5 lakh. Fishermen’s families said they have lost their only source of livelihood and have appealed to the state government to extend financial assistance to help them.
