Vizag Airport Marks Yatri Suvidha Diwas With Community-Focused Events
CISF personnel presented awareness skits on passenger safety and responsible travel.

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam International Airport on Monday celebrated Yatri Suvidha Diwas 2026 with a series of programmes involving passengers, airline representatives, CISF personnel, concessionaires and members of the airport community.
The celebrations focused on passenger service, employee welfare, sustainability and community engagement. The event commenced with Deep Prajwalan and a rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’.
Passengers participated in various activities organised as part of the observance, while a felicitation programme was held to recognise the contributions of frontline personnel, including housekeeping staff, drivers and women professionals working in the aviation sector.
As part of the social outreach initiatives, the airport organised a voluntary blood donation camp, health check-ups and a dental camp. A tree plantation drive was also conducted to promote environmental sustainability.
CISF personnel presented awareness skits on passenger safety and responsible travel, while cultural performances by the Lepakshi group highlighted the cultural heritage of Andhra Pradesh.
Airport director N. Purushottam said the response to the event reflected the collective commitment of stakeholders towards improving passenger services and operational efficiency.
He noted that the airport handles nearly 30 lakh passengers annually and continues to focus on infrastructure development and sustainability initiatives.
