Vivekananda Human Excellence Centre to be Inaugurated in Vijayawada on Feb. 1
The centre will be inaugurated by Ramakrishna Mission President Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, with former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu attending as the chief guest.

VIJAYAWADA: The Vivekananda Human Excellence Centre, aimed at nurturing the intellectual, moral and spiritual development of youth, will be inaugurated at Gandhinagar in Vijayawada on February 1.
The centre will be inaugurated by Ramakrishna Mission President Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, with former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu attending as the chief guest. The launch coincides with the silver jubilee celebrations of the Vijayawada Ramakrishna Mission and marks Magha Pournami and the birth anniversary of Swami Adbhutananda Maharaj.
Addressing the media, Ramakrishna Mission Assistant Secretary Shitikanta Swamiji said the centre would contribute to the national vision of a ‘Developed India by 2047’ by empowering youth through value-based education and skill development.
The centre will offer training for civil services aspirants with emphasis on ethics and values, along with programmes in meditation, yoga, personality development, emotional discipline and communication skills. A Bala Samskara Kendra will also function to provide cultural and moral education to children.
Built at a cost of `8.5 crore, the six-storey complex houses classrooms, a temple, guest rooms, dining facilities, cafeterias and a bookstall, which will be inaugurated by M. Venkaiah Naidu.
The inauguration ceremony will be held at 9 am on February 1, followed by a formal programme at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram. A Yuva Sammelan will be organised in the afternoon, and cultural programmes and a memorial meet will be held in the evening.
