Visakhapatnam’s TTD Kalyana Mandapam Set For State-of-the-art Upgrade
The collector examined the buildings and vacant sites and sought details from officials about their extent, current use and other aspects

VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam district collector and GVMC special officer M. Abhishikth Kishore on Monday said an action plan would be prepared to redevelop the TTD Kalyana Mandapam in MVP Colony with modern facilities.
Kishore, accompanied by GVMC commissioner Ketan Garg, inspected the TTD kalyana mandapam, its office building and vacant sites on either side of the TTD kalyana mandapam junction in MVP Colony.
During the inspection, the collector examined the buildings and vacant sites and sought details from officials about their extent, current use and other aspects. He said the redevelopment plan would include facilities to meet future requirements.
He directed Seethammadhara tahsildar Prasad, TTD manager Venkataramana and East Zone commissioner K. Sivaprasad to conduct a comprehensive survey of the kalyana mandapam, adjoining buildings and vacant sites near the junction and submit a detailed report.
GVMC chief city planner A. Prabhakar Rao, assistant medical officer B. Prasada Rao, revenue surveyor, ward secretaries and other officials participated in the inspection.
