Visakhapatnam: President Murmu Arriving In Vizag On June 30

VISAKHAPATNAM: President Droupadi Murmu will visit Visakhapatnam on June 30 to attend the first convocation ceremony of the Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh.
University vice chancellor Prof T Srinivasan announced this here on Friday. He said the President as the chief guest would confer degrees on nearly 400 students who completed various academic programmes between 2021 and 2026. She will also present gold medals to around 15 meritorious students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.
The convocation would be attended by governor Justice S Abdul Nazeer, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan and state education minister Nara Lokesh.
Describing the occasion as a historic milestone in the university's journey, Prof Srinivasan said the inaugural convocation marks a significant chapter in the institution's growth and development.
In view of the President's visit, district officials and university authorities have initiated comprehensive security and protocol arrangements.
