Visakhapatnam Police Arrest Brother-in-Law for Cyberbullying Minor Girl on Instagram

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam City Police have arrested a man for allegedly harassing a minor girl by posting manipulated photos of her on Instagram, portraying her as a call girl. In a twist, the accused was identified as the victim’s own brother-in-law.

The incident came to light when the minor girl and her mother found that someone had edited the girl's photograph and posted it on an unidentified Instagram account, falsely advertising her as a call girl. Later, the mother filed a complaint at the cybercrime police station.

Acting on the complaint, police launched an investigation that revealed that the accused was the victim's sister's husband.

The accused was arrested on Monday and has been remanded to custody pending further legal proceedings.
