Vijayawada: Six Held in Petrol Bunk Employee Death Case
They allegedly asked the employee, identified as Syed Arif, to hand over money, promising to return it with an additional amount.

Vijayawada:Police arrested six persons and seized a car and a point-of-sale (POS) machine in connection with the death of a petrol bunk employee within 48 hours of the incident.
DCP Lakshmi Narayana told the media at the Nandigama Rural CI office on Thursday that the accused arrived at a petrol bunk at Donabanda, under the Kanchikacherla police station limits, in a car bearing a fake registration number at around 4 a.m. on September 8.
They allegedly asked the employee, identified as Syed Arif, to hand over money, promising to return it with an additional amount. When Arif was counting the money, the accused allegedly snatched it and sped away in their car.
Arif tried to catch the fleeing men but was dragged by the car for some distance. He eventually fell onto the road and suffered severe head injuries. He was shifted to a government hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later that night.
Police formed special teams to trace the accused and arrested them within 48 hours. The arrested persons were identified as Gujjarlapudi Mahesh, 18, Chandi Manoj Kumar, 19, Kamayani Aditya, 23, Kuchipudi Aravind, 18, Manda Rohith, 18, and a minor boy.
