Vice-President To Visit Tirupati, Tirumala On October 26, 27
The collector directed officials to ensure the availability of specialist medical teams, advanced life-support ambulances, essential medicines, blood supplies, fire engines and emergency facilities.
NELLORE: Tirupati district authorities are making security and logistical arrangements for Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan’s visit to Tirupati and Tirumala on October 26 and 27.
District collector Dr S. Venkateswar and SP L. Subbarayudu reviewed the arrangements at a coordination meeting at Renigunta Airport on Saturday as part of the Advance Security Liaison (ASL) exercise, in coordination with officials from the Vice-President’s office.
The collector directed officials to ensure the availability of specialist medical teams, advanced life-support ambulances, essential medicines, blood supplies, fire engines and emergency facilities. He also called for food safety checks, uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water, proper maintenance of convoy vehicles and adequate facilities at the airport’s VIP lounge.
The SP said security and traffic management arrangements must be ensured and warned that personnel found negligent in their duties would face disciplinary action.
The collector and officials later reviewed arrangements at Tiruchanur and Tirumala in coordination with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) authorities. He directed the departments concerned to complete all preparations without lapses.
