Vajpayee Statue To Be Unveiled In Nellore On December 15

NELLORE: The statue of former prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be unveiled at Harinathapuram Junction in Nellore on December 15, in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, BJP state president P.V.N. Madhav and Andhra Pradesh minister Y. Satyakumar, BJP district president Sheeparreddy Vamsidhar Reddy said on Saturday.
Addressing a meeting at the BJP district office, he said the programme is part of the Atal–Modi Good Governance Yatra being organised across the state from December 11 to December 25, following a call from the BJP national committee and under the guidance of the state leadership.
He appealed to party leaders, workers and supporters from across the district to participate in large numbers.
The Nellore programme will begin at 9 am with a bike rally from Ayyappa Temple Centre, passing through Vedayapalem, KVR Petrol Bunk, RTC and VRC, and concluding with the unveiling of Vajpayee’s statue, followed by a public meeting.

State vice-president P. Surendra Reddy called for a massive bike rally and urged youth and party workers to mobilise people across villages. State media panellist Karnati Anjaneya Reddy said India made significant progress in several sectors under Vajpayee’s leadership.
Several BJP leaders and party workers were present at the meeting.
