Two Student Groups Clash on Road in Visakhapatnam, 17 Detained

Visakhapatnam: Tension prevailed on the Marikavalasa-Timmapuram Road after students belonging to two groups clashed in the middle of the road in Madhurawada, Visakhapatnam district. Police took 17 of the 20 youngsters into custody and registered six cases against them.

According to reports, the inebriated youngsters attacked each other with sticks, with the clash reportedly triggered by a love affair. The two groups had allegedly clashed two days earlier at Shivashakti Nagar on the Thimmapuram Road, but the incident came to light only later.
