Vizag: Two Nabbed in Shocker Jewellery Heist

The police said M. Sudheendar, owner of Kausalya Jewellery shop, stated that on the afternoon of May 12, Manga, a known customer, arrived in a Honda Amaze car. After entering the shop, she met Sudheendar and stated that one of her relatives, who was physically challenged, was waiting in the car, unable to enter the shop. She stated that his daughter’s marriage was approaching and he planned to purchase gold ornaments.
She requested the shop owner to show various gold ornaments. After selecting several gold items, she asked for permission to take the ornaments to the car so that she could show them to her relative. Trusting her, the complainant placed the selected gold ornaments in two trays and handed them over to her. She took the gold ornaments in the trays, entered the car, and fled from the spot along with the gold ornaments. Based on the complaint from the store owner, the police formed a team to trace and nab the accused persons. They nabbed the duo near Siripuram in Vizag city and recovered the stolen property from their possession.
The police said Manga faced financial difficulties and decided to take the crime route for easy money. She decided to commit theft at Kausalya Jewellery Shop, which was familiar to her as a regular customer. She approached her relative, Devara Ramakrishna, and asked him to accompany her and sit in the car. She falsely represented him as a physically disabled relative intending to purchase gold ornaments for his daughter’s wedding.
