Two Killed, Three Injured as Car Rams Lorry in Prakasam

Prakasam: Two persons were killed and three others injured after the car they were travelling in rammed into a lorry at Mulaguntapadu on the national highway in Singarayakonda mandal of Prakasam district on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Hariprasad and Visalakshi, residents of Mangalam village in Tirupati district. The injured were identified as Lavanya Kumari, Kansith and Pranashree.

According to police, all five were working as contract employees at Tirumala. They were travelling by car from Mangalam to Vijayawada to attend a programme when the accident occurred.

The car went out of control and rammed into the lorry near Mulaguntapadu. The impact was severe, and Hariprasad and Visalakshi died on the spot.
