Two AP Cops Get President’s Medals For Distinguished Service

20 policemen get meritorious service medals

Vijayawada:Two President’s Police Medals for distinguished service and 20 police medals for meritorious service have been announced for the Andhra Pradesh Police marking Independence Day.

Further, another President’s Police Medal for distinguished service was awarded to AP's Bandi Peddi Raju, working as Additional SP, CBI, New Delhi. Hailing from Srungavriksham in West Godavari, Peddi Raju joined the CBI as a constable in 1993 and during his 32 years of service, Raju won 150 awards. He played a key role in the investigation of the murders of Paritala Ravi and lawyer Satish. Recently, he executed the arrest of 45 accused in the NEET UG 2024 question paper leak as the chief investigator.

The medals for distinguished service go to Bhadraiah Chennupati, SP SSG; and Rajeev Kumar Gopu, deputy SP, AP Intelligence.

The meritorious service medals were announced forr Ravi Krishna Ake, inspector general, head of EAGLE, DSPs; Srinivasa Rao Valluri and Veera Venkata Pratap Kumar Thota, assistant commandant Kodandasri Ramachandraraju Dendukuri; and inspectors Govinda Rao Mamidi and Rama Krishna Gandem.

Meritorious service medals also go to sub-inspectors Sita Ramu Karimkonda, Gopal Karuva, Kotesh Kottakota, assistant sub inspectors Chandrasekhar Pedireddy, Naga Malleswara Rao Vissarapu, Venkata Rama Sarma Burra, Usman Gani Khan Nayeb, Nageswara Rao Dommeti, Seetharamanjaneyulu Pamarthi and Naga Babu Koppisetty.

Other meritorious service medal winners are head constables Srinivasa Rao Boddu, Gopala Krishna Gubbala, Suresh Kumar Murugesan and Danam Gadda.
